Archival historyThis small collection of typescript bio-bibliographical notes on botanists who have worked in Australia is the original work of Mrs Ruth Roberts and Mrs Margaret Whitton, and was compiled, mostly in the Basser Library, for the Rachel McMasters Miller Hunt Botanical Library, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA: There are 306 entries of individual botanists or collectors who contributed in some way to the study of Australian flora between 1699 (Dampier) and 1900.
