Scope and Content70 pages of black and white photographs taken by Capital J Plan Printing & Photographic Co. PTY. LTD (company based in Braddon). Photographs taken from 17 January 1958 and document the laying of the foundation stone and construction of the Academy building [Becker Hall] [Shine Dome]. Album also includes newspaper cutting of heading from the Territory newspaper showing the Shine Dome as one of the graphics.
Archival historyUncertain when item came into collection of Academy circa 1959. Appears to have been commissioned (perhaps by Grounds, Romberg & Boyd architectural company or by the Australian Academy of Science to document to construction of the Academy building.
